Indian corporate world should promote dignity of labour aggresively if it wishes to succeed in the global scenario. It has been observed that workforce does not receive respect from the management. Any and every organization needs varied kind of services to achieve its goal then why should workforce not be respected equally. As on date white collar job is the preference for for all youngsters.

Inequality and class system is deep rooted in Indian society. Caste, Wealth and even education (English vs vernacular) all are used to stratify the society into superior and inferior groups.

1. Quality: If the blue collar workers are engaged and feel respected, they may help companies achieve higher quality in the products.
2. Continuous Improvement and Innovation: If we need the workforce to evolve and do higher value added work in the future, they need to develop self esteem and learn.
McDonald Corporation is one of the largest corporation in the world. Its policy is to promote from within and its CEOs climb the ladder from the entry level hourly worker to the top of the management chain. The pride and dedication this creates in the workforce shows off in their service, quality and outstanding results for the shareholders.
I fully agree with you.How to motivate the corporate world in India in this regard is a big challenge.Please offer suggestions in this regard.
