Engineering Education

It is true that engineers happen to be engines of any economy and therefore growth of engineering education is good for a country. But it noteworthy that growth in engineering education should be pursued by always keeping in view the quality of education. Because if quality gets ignored it would create serious problems for the economy. How to ensure quality therefore is big challenge and I seek views/suggestion for facing this challenge.

Is India on right path?

Though country is on path of industrial growth but since ethical values are getting ignored the path does not seem to be prosperous. Country may have to evolve a strategy to orient masses for pursuing ethics. Obviously this would be possible only by setting examples. Question now comes who should take initiative for setting example?

Honesty is a big issue in society. Every one expects honesty in others but some how honesty is diminishing from the society. In my view the the example setters are totally missing.Governments keep insisting for honesty but how to go about it is not in their view. How the corruption cases are dealt with is also not known to common men. Judiciary also takes too long to decide the corruption cases and media also only gives initial news about it then forgets about the issues. A well thought strtegy should be in place to handle the corruption. In my view if the top man is clean whole set up could be cleaned in an effective manner. Here the cleanliness is pure cleanliness not only to some extent as people normally presume it.
